Good Advice

If someone tells you that "you have to respect the data," you don't have to and probably shouldn't.

Wet

imo, this uses the word wet way too often.

(Taken from
Schlumberger Limited Oilfield Glossary [not sure how important proper citation is in a blog)

wettability

1. n. [Formation Evaluation] ID: 3242

The preference of a solid to contact one liquid or gas, known as the wetting phase, rather than another. The wetting phase will tend to spread on the solid surface and a porous solid will tend to imbibe the wetting phase, in both cases displacing the nonwetting phase. Rocks can be water-wet, oil-wet or intermediate-wet. The intermediate state between water-wet and oil-wet can be caused by a mixed-wet system, in which some surfaces or grains are water-wet and others are oil-wet, or a neutral-wet system, in which the surfaces are not strongly wet by either water or oil. Both water and oil wet most materials in preference to gas, but gas can wet sulfur, graphite and coal.

The Top 10 Books of All Time

The Top 10 Books That I Have Read

The 10 Books I Have Read

  1. Charlotte’s Web – radiant!
  2. Dexter – Just finished that bad boy
  3. Cryptonomicon – I thought it was awesome, but I didn’t technically finish it…ever.
  4. That one I bought at the airport before I got on the plane – I had something to do with Napoleon in Egypt. So if that is the kind of thing that floats your boat, sail away to this marvelous piece of literature.
  5. Diamond Age – Longest book I have ever read…or technically listened to on my IPod.
  6. Dexter 2 – Can’t remember the name of the sequel to Dexter, but I think I am going to buy it later today
  7. Lunar Park – All the fun of reading American Psycho without the guilt trip from you mom!

8.-10. I am pretty sure there are a few scattered in there that I forgot about, but I highly recommend them.

Please keep in mind, that if you want to know how these books end, you will need to read them for yourself!
